On Processing of Personal Data by the Baker Hughes University


Nuovo Pignone Holding SpA., as organizer of the Baker Hughes University (“University” or “We”), will have access to your personal information. Is intended as “Baker Hughes University” its Director, staff and all Baker Hughes employees or third parties performing activities or rendering services on its behalf. We hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data by the University and your rights according to the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applicable data protection laws

Which categories of data do we use and where do they come from?

The categories of personal data processed, in particular, include your master data (such as first name, last name, name affixes and nationality), contact data (such as private address, (mobile) telephone number, e-mail address), log data arising from the use of the IT systems as well as the current employer and job title, attendance record and engagement scores. Only for the people selected for the program, a performance report will be created containing the following information: attendance tracking and activities followed.

Your personal data, in general, is collected because you have provided the information directly as part of the application and/or enrollment process or during your training program. Your personal data may also be collected from your employer or even other bodies due to legal regulations.

For which purposes and on what legal grounds does the processing take place?

The University requires this information for selecting students, course delivery and other administrative purposes. We process your personal data in order to fulfil the educational training. In addition, your consent for specific purposes pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, 7 GDPR (e.g. for video recordings) may be used as the legal basis. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by contacting the Baker Hughes University Team at bakerhughesuniversity@bakerhughes.com.

Where necessary, we process your data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in order to protect the legitimate interests of Baker Hughes or of third parties (e.g. authorities). This applies in particular within the University for purposes of management, internal communication and other administrative purposes.

In addition, the processing of special categories of personal data may be based on consent pursuant to Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR where relevant.

In case we intend to process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you in advance.

Who receives your data?

Persons and departments within the University receive your personal data in order to fulfil contractual and legal obligations. If selected for the program, a performance report will be shared with your line manager/s at the end of the program.

In addition, we may make use of various service providers to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations. .

In addition, we may transfer your personal data to other recipients outside the company insofar as this is necessary to fulfil contractual and legal obligations as an employer. These could be, for example:

What data protection rights can you claim as a data subject?

You can request information about your personal data stored by contacting BHPrivacyTeam@bakerhughes.com. You may also request that your data be corrected or deleted under certain circumstances. You may also have the right to restrict the processing of your data and to have the data you provide disclosed in a structured, common and machine-readable format

How long are your data stored?

We will delete your personal data as soon as they are no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes. After termination of the training, your personal data will be stored as long as we are legally obliged to do so.

Are you obliged to provide your personal data?

As part of your training program, you must provide the personal data required for the establishment, execution and termination of the training contract and the fulfilment of the associated contractual obligations. We will not be able to conclude the contract with you in case this information is not provided.
